BBQ Chicken for the Crock Pot

It’s easy to throw some chicken and a bottle of BBQ sauce into the crock pot and say you have BBQ chicken. I like to put just a little bit of work into it. This is so much better than out of a bottle. Try it and let me know what you think. This slow cooker recipe is perfect for a summer family get together and so easy!

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground red hot pepper flakes, or to taste (I usually leave this out)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Wash chicken breasts and pat dry.  Place in crockpot.  Combine all other ingredients and place in crockpot.  Be sure that tops of chicken breasts are coated with mixture.  Cook on HIGH 4 hours or LOW 6-7 hours, until chicken is fully cooked.  Remove chicken to shred and replace in crock pot on LOW until ready to serve.  Enjoy!
