This recipe is a little bit more involved because you have to make a roux.  It’s not hard to do and only takes about 15 minutes.  The roux will give a thick, hearty sauce to your gumbo. Read more »

Crock Pot Chicken Marengo

Chicken Marengo was supposedly served to Napoleon after the battle of Marengo in Italy in 1800.  Don’t know if that’s really true, but I can tell you that it’s delicious.  It can be served over french bread, but we like it over rice. Read more »

BBQ/Teriyaki Crock Pot Chicken

This is an unusual recipe because it combines sweet and spicy.  I wasn’t sure what to call it, so I went with BBQ/Teriyaki.  I usually serve this with mashed potatoes (when I call it BBQ) or rice (when I call it Teriyaki).  Either way, it’s terrific. Read more »

Crock Pot Chicken Recipes

What is easier than crock pot cooking?!  Nothing, until you run out of recipes.  I have about 3 crock pot chicken recipes that I use over and over and over.  We’re all tired of chicken with carrots and potatoes.  So of course I turned to the internet for recipes.  I found some good ones, but I had to search several different sites to come up with anything new.  I don’t have a lot of free time.  I wanted good recipes in one place. That’s when I decided to put some of my slow cooker chicken recipes together in one place.  If I look for new chicken recipes, then there must be other moms out there who want some also.  I’ll be adding a new crock pot chicken recipe about every 3 days.  If you like it, leave a comment.  If you make it and add your own twist, leave a comment and tell me what you did.  If you have a great recipe, email it to me at the address at the bottom of the page and I’ll post it.  I’d like to have at least 50 terrific recipes listed here within the next 6 months.  So let’s get started!
