Crock Pot Orange Chicken

Honey and orange juice make this a sweet meal, but the garlic adds some zing.  This is terrific served over rice .  Add a salad and you’ve got a great meal!

Crock Pot Orange Chicken
3 chicken breasts or 8 thighs
1/2 cup honey
1 cup orange juice
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp dry mustard
1 1-2 tsp fresh garlic, minced
2 tsp soy sauce
1 10 oz thawed broccoli flowerets or 1 1/2 cup fresh broccoli
2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup cold water
Cooked rice

Put the chicken in the crockpot . Mix all other ingredients (except cooked rice, broccoli, cornstarch and water) together and pour over the chicken. Turn the crockpot on LOW and cook for 5 hours. Add broccoli and cook for 1 more hour.  Remove broccoli and chicken. Add cornstarch mixture and cook on high until thickened.  Serve over rice and top with “gravy”.
